About Comprehenthemind
Comprehenthemind is a small online guide to the mind and to the talking therapies people use when they want to understand it better.
What the name means
The name is the phrase the site is built on: comprehend the mind. It describes the whole of the ambition. These pages set out what a talking therapy is, how the approaches differ from one another, which professionals do which work, and what happens the first time someone sits down in a session.
Access and availability
The guide is published online only and is free to read. It is written in plain English, it is text-led so that it works on a small screen or a slow connection, and it carries no scripts, trackers, adverts or sign-in.
